Planning an industrial chic wedding in Brooklyn?
And where would be a better place to hold such a ceremony?
I mean the borough is chock full of old warehouse spaces, historical gardens and buildings. Many of them actually cater to wedding parties!
Here are a few resources to make your special day both industrial, and chic.
There are loads of places you could hold the ceremony, but here are three we think are extra awesome for an industrial chic wedding in Brooklyn.
Originally built in 1889 as a brass foundry, the place has been renovated for events, especially weddings. Over 6000 square feet of indoor and outdoor spaces, with exposed brick walls, huge wooden beamed ceilings, and large glass doors with lots of natural lighting. You have to see it to really take it in.
Once The Cooperage, an old factory that opened in 1901 to make barrels for the sugar refineries along the East River, now a boutique hotel and event space.
You’ll want to check out their Main Hall and Garden Terrace, amazing spaces with masonry walls, pine ceilings, antique mirrors and huge factory windows. Up to 2100 square feet of space.
One of the gems of Brooklyn, opening in 1911, and designed by the famous Olmsted brothers, the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens is a beautiful spot for your wedding, no matter the theme, but if you’re looking for lots of light and the steel industrial feel, then check out their Palm Room!
Seriously, you gotta have cake, or what’s the point of a wedding? Here’s a couple of award winners, right here in Brooklyn:
Simply the best in Brooklyn. Voted best wedding cake vendor in Brooklyn 2018, 2019, 2021, plus tons of other awards. If you can dream it up, they can make it for you.
Sarah approaches cake as a classically trained artist, and has worked with the biggest and best in the business. She paints with chocolate and with butter cream frosting on a canvas of cake! You have to see her work to believe it, and taste it to be transformed from the inside, out.
As a bride or groom, weddings fly by so quickly, you barely have time to experience them. You don’t want to plan and pull off the perfect wedding day and not record it for posterity. The right photo or the perfect video clip can capture your amazing day so you can savor it years later.
Here are a couple of great photographic artists who’ll make sure your memories are preserved forever.
Brooklyn Born, raised, and based. These guys are amazing and award winning. They will capture your day in still photos and cinematography.
A great Brooklyn based company, dedicated to inclusivity in all things. They’ll catch all those amazing moments during your wedding, even if they have to crawl through the bushes to get them!
These guys do it all! Not only will they help you plan your wedding, but they’ll help design the whole thing: from the initial planning, to styling, to wedding coordination, to the flowers. They also offer mini-wedding and elopements!
What about all those other events before and after the big day?
I mean, you have company coming in for bachelor and bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners, wedding brunches. You need somewhere to entertain them all…
