Designed by John Augustus Roebling, opened in 1883, thanks to the sweat, labor, and lives of hardworking New Yorkers and Brooklynites. Roebling himself gave his love and life to the building of the bridge.
What’s more romantic than that?
What all that blood and tears built is, in our opinion, the most beautiful and romantic bridge in the world. Though renovated and updated many times, it still stands as a monument to the passion of the human spirit, determination, and genius.
And the views are definitely romantic, and FREE!
