Beer flavored beer has been around for centuries. Before industrialized American lagers became the globally dominant force of the mid 20th century, Europeans perfected the art of lagers. One of the most influential is the Czech pale lager, or světlé pivo. Born in Bohemia, this simple recipe is made complex with old school techniques: Decoction mashing, first wort hopping, and extended lagering. These give our 12˚ version a slightly sweet, biscuit-like malt character and a distinctive, yet smooth hop bitterness from the zesty Czech Saaz hop. We serve it through a traditional side pour faucet with a thick, creamy head for a taste of a true classic. Pairs well with enjoying company and living life.
